We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven IT Business Development Executive with 2–7 years of experience in Upwork bidding and international IT sales. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of acquiring international clients, generating business through Upwork, preparing winning proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing deals. The candidate should possess excellent communication, relationship-building, and strategic sales skills with a strong understanding of software development services.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, analyze, and bid on relevant IT projects through Upwork.
- Prepare high-quality, customized proposals that align with client requirements.
- Generate qualified leads and convert them into long-term business opportunities.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
- Communicate with international clients through Upwork, email, Zoom, Google Meet, and other communication channels.
- Conduct requirement gathering sessions and understand client business objectives.
- Coordinate with technical teams to prepare project estimations, timelines, and technical solutions.
- Present company services and solutions to prospective clients.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, project scope, and payment terms.
- Handle the complete sales lifecycle from lead generation to project closure.
- Follow up with prospects and nurture leads to maximize conversion rates.
- Maintain long-term relationships with clients to generate repeat business and referrals.
- Upsell and cross-sell additional services to existing clients.
- Ensure smooth project handover to project managers and development teams.
- Maintain accurate sales records, proposals, follow-ups, and client interactions in CRM systems.
- Monitor project opportunities, industry trends, and competitor activities on Upwork.
- Work closely with marketing and technical teams to develop effective sales strategies.
- Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports and performance metrics.
- Ensure excellent customer experience throughout the engagement lifecycle.
Required Skills
- 2–7 years of experience in IT Business Development and Upwork bidding.
- Proven success in winning projects through Upwork.
- Strong knowledge of the Upwork platform, bidding strategies, connects management, and profile optimization.
- Excellent proposal writing, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Strong negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills.
- Experience in international client handling and relationship management.
- Understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
- Ability to understand client requirements and coordinate with technical teams.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
