We are looking for an experienced Production Designer (2D & CAD Designer) with strong expertise in event layout planning, AutoCAD drafting, and creative visualization. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing event venues, stage layouts, exhibition spaces, branding placements, and production drawings while also contributing to creative design and visual communication requirements.
Role Overview
The Production Designer will play a critical role in transforming event concepts into technically feasible and visually compelling execution plans. The role requires an equal balance of AutoCAD-based event planning (50%) and Creative Design & Visualization (50%).
The ideal candidate should possess proven experience in creating event layouts, venue plans, stage setups, exhibition floor plans, fabrication drawings, and branding applications for large-scale events and experiential projects.
Key Responsibilities
Event Layout Planning & AutoCAD Design (80%)
- Create detailed event layouts, venue plans, seating plans, exhibition layouts, stage layouts, and branding placement plans using AutoCAD.
- Develop production-ready drawings and execution layouts for events, exhibitions, conferences, festivals, and activations.
- Prepare fabrication drawings, production references, and technical design documentation.
- Conduct venue mapping and space planning while ensuring optimum utilization of available space.
- Coordinate with production teams, vendors, fabricators, and project managers to ensure design feasibility and smooth execution.
- Interpret site measurements, dimensions, technical specifications, and structural requirements accurately.
- Modify and update layouts based on site recce reports and client feedback.
- Support on-ground execution teams with design clarifications and technical drawings.
- Creative Design & Visualization (20%)
- Develop creative concepts and visual presentations based on client briefs.
- Design event branding elements
Create presentation decks, mood boards, and design proposals.
- Design marketing and communication assets including:
- Ensure consistency across all visual communication and branding deliverables.
- Apply strong design principles related to typography, color theory, composition, and visual hierarchy.
- Work closely with Creative Directors, Client Servicing Teams, Production Teams, and Project Managers.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative event design concepts.
- Incorporate client and stakeholder feedback effectively.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality standards and deadlines.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in events, exhibitions, experiential marketing, and production design.
- Research innovative materials, fabrication techniques, and venue design concepts.
- Continuously explore new approaches to enhance event experiences and visual impact.
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Applied Arts, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Interior Design, Architecture, Fine Arts, Multimedia Design, or a related field preferred.
- 4 to 10 years of relevant experience as a Production Designer, Event Designer, CAD Designer, Exhibition Designer, or 2D Designer.
- Proven experience in creating event layouts, venue plans, stage layouts, exhibition floor plans, and production drawings.
- Prior experience with Event Management Companies, Experiential Agencies, Exhibition Design Firms, Production Houses, or Activation Agencies is mandatory.
- Strong portfolio showcasing event layouts, AutoCAD drawings, production designs, and branding projects.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D).
- Expertise in event layout planning and venue mapping.
- Understanding of scale drawings, measurements, dimensions, and technical specifications.
- Ability to prepare production and fabrication drawings.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
