01 Perform power system studies using SKM Power Tools including load flow, short circuit, protective device coordination, arc flash, and motor starting analysis.
02 Develop and validate electrical system models from Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), panel schedules, and equipment data
03 Conduct arc flash hazard analysis and generate arc flash labels as per NFPA 70E and NEC requirements.
04 Perform short circuit calculations as per US project standards.
05 Prepare protective device coordination curves (TCC) and recommend breaker/fuse settings.
06 Support generator sizing, UPS system modeling, and emergency power system validation (especially for data centers and healthcare projects).
07 Coordinate with electrical design engineers to resolve discrepancies between design drawings and analytical models.
08 Review and validate transformer impedance, cable data, motor parameters, and equipment ratings before modeling.
09 Prepare detailed study reports including executive summaries, calculation notes, and compliance documentation.
10 Participate in client technical discussions to explain modeling assumptions, study results, and mitigation strategies.
11 Support value engineering by recommending optimized breaker sizes, cable sizes, and protective settings.
12 Perform QA/QC of SKM models developed by junior engineers.
13 Ensure compliance with US codes including NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and utility standards.
14 Coordinate with BIM/Revit teams to align modeled electrical systems with analytical models.
15 Support commissioning and field validation when required (review of relay settings and as-built verification).
