Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Azure AI Engineer with 5+ years of professional experience to contribute to the implementation of AI solutions on Microsoft Azure.
The candidate will primarily focus on backend services and components and will be responsible for supporting the complete development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, deployment, security, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Azure services, Python, data management, messaging/eventing, vector databases, and containerized applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to all phases of implementing AI solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Participate in requirements gathering, technical design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Develop scalable and reliable backend services and components using Python and Azure technologies.
- Integrate Azure services and third-party SDKs into AI applications.
- Work with Azure data management services for storing, processing, and retrieving application data.
- Implement messaging and event-driven architectures using Azure messaging and eventing services.
- Work with vector databases to support AI/ML and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) use cases.
- Design and implement containerized applications and deploy them on Azure.
- Monitor applications and Azure resources and troubleshoot performance, availability, and operational issues.
- Implement appropriate security practices across applications, APIs, data, and Azure resources.
- Collaborate with AI/ML engineers, software developers, DevOps engineers, architects, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding and development best practices.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and cost.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to solutions and deployments.
Required Technical SkillsAzure
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Proficiency with Azure SDKs and third-party SDKs used in Azure.
- Experience with Azure data management services.
- Experience with Azure monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Azure messaging and eventing services.
- Experience deploying and managing applications in Azure.
Programming
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Experience developing backend services, APIs, and integrations.
- Good understanding of software development principles and design patterns.
AI / Data
- Experience working with vector databases.
- Understanding of AI/ML application architectures.
- Exposure to RAG, embeddings, semantic search, or LLM-based applications is preferred.
- Experience working with data pipelines and data storage solutions is an advantage.
Containers & Deployment
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying containerized applications on Azure.
- Good understanding of Docker and container-based application architecture.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional software/backend development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure-based application development.
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Experience working with Azure data, monitoring, messaging/eventing, and containerization.
- Experience working with vector databases.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Good understanding of application security and cloud best practices.
