About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical professional to join our Finance organization as a VP, Stress Testing Execution and Analytics . This role is central to the bank’s Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) process and supports the delivery of robust, well-governed, and regulator-ready financial projections under stress scenarios.
The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the end-to-end CCAR model lifecycle , reviewing and challenging model outputs and production results, and ensuring that submissions are supported by strong governance, data integrity, and clear business rationale. This position sits at the intersection of Finance, Risk, Treasury, Business, and Technology , and requires strong judgment, technical fluency, and the ability to operate effectively in a high-stakes regulatory environment.

Your Roles and Responsibilities
1) CCAR Model Lifecycle Management
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of CCAR-related models, including development, documentation, validation, implementation, monitoring, remediation, and retirement .
- Partner with GSA model development, MoRM model validation, business finance, and risk teams to ensure models are fit for purpose and aligned with internal policy and regulatory expectations.
- Coordinate model change requests, version control, implementation readiness, and documentation updates across the annual CCAR cycle and interim model updates.
- Track model limitations, overlays, expert judgment decisions, and remediation actions to ensure transparency and governance.
- Support committee materials and governance forums related to model approval, model performance, and CCAR production readiness.
2) Review and Challenge of Model Results and Production
- Perform independent review and challenge of CCAR model outputs, including PPNR and balance sheet projection components .
- Assess model results for reasonableness, trend consistency, scenario sensitivity, and business alignment.
- Analyze key production outputs, investigate unusual movements, and escalate issues, assumptions, or data concerns in a timely manner.
- Challenge business and model-owner assumptions, methodologies, and overlays using quantitative analysis and business insight.
- Prepare concise and decision-ready challenge materials for senior management, governance committees, and regulator.
- Support production cycles by reviewing execution readiness, runbook adherence, sign-offs, and control evidence.
3) Oversight of Model Development and Validation
- Serve as a Finance partner to model owners and validation teams through development, periodic review, and remediation activities.
- Provide Finance input into model design choices, business segmentation, forecasting assumptions, and interpretation of results.
- Review model documentation, validation findings, benchmarking analysis, and performance monitoring reports.
- Ensure validation findings, audit observations, and regulatory issues are appropriately tracked, prioritized, and resolved.
4) Data Governance and Data Quality
- Ensure strong governance over data used in CCAR forecasting, reporting, and downstream regulatory submissions.
- Partner with data providers, technology teams, and control functions to address data lineage, reconciliations, completeness, and accuracy issues.
- Review source-to-report data flows and key transformation logic supporting production outputs.
- Drive improvements in data controls, traceability, documentation, and evidence standards to support auditability and regulatory scrutiny.
5) Regulatory Interaction and Reporting
- Support preparation of CCAR-related materials for internal governance and external regulatory review.
- Assist with responses to regulatory requests, internal audit inquiries, and second-line review questions related to CCAR methodology, governance, and results.
- Help maintain clear documentation of key assumptions, judgments, model limitations, and production controls.
- Contribute to regulatory reporting deliverables tied to stress testing and capital planning processes.
6) Stakeholder Management
- Build strong working relationships across Finance, GSA, Risk, Treasury, Business Lines, Model Risk Management, Regulatory Reporting, and Technology .
- Coordinate across multiple stakeholders to align timelines, assumptions, dependencies, and issue resolution during production windows.
- Communicate complex analytical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support senior management by translating model and production outputs into meaningful business insights and action items.
7) Process Improvement and Change Delivery
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, transparency, and control environment of the CCAR production process.
- Drive automation, standardization, and simplification initiatives across data, analytics, documentation, and governance workflows.
- Enhance management information, challenge frameworks, and production reporting to improve oversight and decision-making.
- Contribute to broader finance transformation and strategic change initiatives impacting stress testing, capital planning, and regulatory reporting.
Your Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline .
- 7+ years in one or more of the following areas:
- CCAR / stress testing
- Business Finance / Financial Planning & Analysis
- Regulatory reporting
- Model risk management
- Quantitative finance / forecasting
- Risk management within banking or financial services
- Strong understanding of banking products, financial statements, capital planning, and regulatory frameworks .
- Demonstrated experience reviewing, challenging, or supporting financial models, forecasting processes, or regulatory production cycles .
- Solid knowledge of key CCAR components such as PPNR, balance sheet forecasting, RWA, capital, and scenario-based stress projections .
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and identify key drivers.
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with analytical or data tools such as SQL, Python, R, Alteryx, Power Apps, or similar .
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare governance materials and summarize complex issues concisely.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines and high regulatory scrutiny.
- High attention to detail, strong control mindset, and sound professional judgment.
