Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of Continental dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and kitchen operations. Support senior chefs in daily kitchen activities and ensure smooth service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meats, sauces, and garnishes.
- Assist in cooking Continental dishes according to standard recipes.
- Prepare soups, sauces, salads, pasta, grills, sandwiches, and other Continental items.
- Follow portion control and presentation standards.
- Maintain mise en place (cutting, chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients).
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the workstation.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, grills, and fryers.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
- Assist in stock rotation (FIFO) and inventory management.
- Support senior chefs during busy service periods.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of Continental cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Good knife and food preparation skills.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
- Time management and ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management / Culinary Arts (preferred).
- 0–3 years of experience in a Continental kitchen (depending on Commi level).
Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
