Machine Shop Supervisor
We are looking for a well experienced machine shop Supervisor with atleast 15 years experience in the production field.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management: Plan, schedule, and prioritize daily or weekly workloads for CNC, VMC, and conventional machines to meet delivery deadlines.
Team Leadership: Hire, train, and manage shift personnel. Evaluate performance, monitor productivity, and delegate tasks based on skill levels.
Quality Control: Conduct first-piece approvals, monitor parts for defects, and investigate the root cause of rejections to implement corrective actions.
Equipment & Maintenance: Oversee machine setup, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and ensure routine preventative maintenance is completed to minimize downtime.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce shop safety protocols (e.g., PPE, hazard reporting) and maintain 5S standards for a clean and organized workspace.Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels for raw materials, cutting tools, and fixtures to avoid shop floor shortages.
Essential Qualification experience:
Proven track record in a machining environment (CNC/VMC) with progressive responsibility or prior supervisory experience.
Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of machining techniques, tooling, feeds, speeds, and engineering drawings.
Skills: CNC, VMC, HMC programming,Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with proficiency in basic manufacturing software or ERP systems.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational degree or machinist certification is highly preferred.
