Job Description
We are looking for an experienced PostgreSQL Developer for a Part-Time opportunity with strong expertise in database design, development, optimization, and maintenance. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL database development, SQL programming, query optimization, and performance tuning, with the ability to build scalable and reliable database solutions. The candidate should possess strong database development knowledge and be comfortable working independently in a remote environment while supporting enterprise-level applications.

Experience Required - Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in Database Development, with strong expertise in PostgreSQL.
Key Responsibilities
· Design, develop, and maintain PostgreSQL database solutions and database objects.
· Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
· Design database schemas and data models based on business requirements.
· Perform query optimization and database performance tuning.
· Monitor database performance, availability, and data integrity.
· Implement database backup, restore, and recovery processes.
· Support database deployment, migration, and version upgrades.
· Collaborate with application and engineering teams for data integration and troubleshooting.
· Identify and resolve database-related performance and scalability issues.
· Ensure database security, access controls, and best practices are followed.
Required Skills
· Minimum 4+ years of strong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL Database Development.
· Strong expertise in SQL programming, query writing, and optimization.
· Experience in database schema design, indexing, normalization, and performance tuning.
· Strong knowledge of Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, and Triggers.
· Experience in database backup, restore, and recovery processes.
· Understanding of database security, permissions, and access control.
· Experience in data migration and ETL processes.
· Good understanding of Linux environments.
· Experience using Git / Version Control systems.
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
