Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lathe & Drilling Machine Operator to join our fasteners manufacturing team at our Anekal facility. The ideal candidate should have 4–5 years of experience in operating conventional lathe and drilling machines, with a strong understanding of machining processes, engineering drawings, and quality requirements in the fasteners industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate conventional lathe and drilling machines to manufacture or modify fasteners, tooling, fixtures, and machine components.
- Set up machines, select appropriate cutting tools, and adjust machining parameters based on production requirements.
- Perform turning, facing, drilling, boring, threading, chamfering, and other machining operations as per engineering drawings.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job specifications accurately.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, and thread gauges.
- Conduct in-process inspections to maintain product quality and meet customer specifications.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning to ensure efficient machine performance.
- Identify machine issues and coordinate with the maintenance team for timely repairs.
- Minimize material wastage and ensure optimum machine utilization.
- Follow production schedules to achieve daily output targets.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and adhere to 5S, safety, and company policies.
- Record production details, inspection results, and machine performance as required.
Required Qualifications
- ITI (Turner/Machinist/Fitter) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 4–5 years of experience operating lathe and drilling machines in a fasteners or precision engineering manufacturing environment.
- Good knowledge of machining processes, cutting tools, feeds, and speeds.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring instruments.
- Basic knowledge of preventive machine maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts and meet production targets.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in manufacturing fasteners, tooling, jigs, fixtures, and machine spare parts.
- Knowledge of ISO quality standards and safety procedures.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement practices such as 5S and Kaizen.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and company standards.
