Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Chief Design Officer / Head of Product Design to lead product design and development. The ideal candidate should have expertise in reverse engineering, SolidWorks, pneumatic systems, product development, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing, with the ability to take products from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead reverse engineering and new product development.
Design mechanical, automotive, and pneumatic products using SolidWorks.
Create 3D models, manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
Develop, test, validate, and improve prototypes.
Design and troubleshoot pneumatic systems and components.
Optimize products for cost, quality, manufacturability, and performance.
Coordinate with production, quality, procurement, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
Manage engineering documentation, design revisions, and change control.
Lead and mentor the product design team while ensuring timely project delivery.
Required Skills:
Strong expertise in SolidWorks (3D Modeling, Assembly & Manufacturing Drawings).
Hands-on experience in Reverse Engineering.
Knowledge of Pneumatic Systems and component selection.
Experience in prototype development, testing, and validation.
Understanding of GD&T, BOM, DFM/DFA, manufacturing processes, and engineering documentation.
Strong problem-solving, leadership, and project management skills.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Automobile, Production Engineering, or related field.
6–10+ years of experience in mechanical/product design.
Experience in automotive, industrial equipment, machinery, or pneumatic products.
Knowledge of machining, fabrication, sheet metal, welding, casting, injection moulding, and 3D printing.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with FEA, CFD, Flow Simulation.
Knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, APQP, PPAP.
Experience with PLM/PDM systems.
Prior experience leading a product design or engineering team.
Ideal Candidate:
A practical engineering leader who can independently design products, develop and troubleshoot mechanical and pneumatic systems, work closely with manufacturing teams and vendors, and successfully take products from concept to commercial production.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
