Job Summary
The Head Cook is responsible for overseeing all food preparation activities in the cloud kitchen, ensuring consistent food quality, hygiene standards, timely order execution, and efficient kitchen operations. The role includes supervising kitchen staff, managing inventory, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality food production.
Food Preparation & Quality Control
· Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes and portion sizes.
· Ensure consistency in taste, quality, presentation, and food portioning.
· Monitor food quality and freshness of ingredients.
· Conduct regular quality checks before dispatching orders.
Kitchen Operations
· Supervise daily kitchen operations and coordinate workflow among kitchen staff.
· Plan daily production & Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas.
Team Management
· Supervise and guide cooks, assistant cooks, and kitchen helpers.
· Train new kitchen staff on recipes, food preparation techniques, and hygiene practices.
· Foster teamwork and discipline within the kitchen.
Inventory & Cost Control
· Monitor stock levels of raw materials and kitchen supplies.
· Prepare ingredient requisitions and coordinate with procurement teams.
· Minimize food wastage and control production costs.
· Ensure proper storage and stock rotation (FIFO method).
Food Safety & Compliance
· Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
· Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations.
· Follow HACCP and FSSAI guidelines where applicable.
· Ensure proper handling and storage of food products.
Equipment Maintenance
· Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
· Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
· Conduct routine checks to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
· Diploma or Certification in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or a related field preferred.
· Minimum 3–5 years of experience in commercial kitchens, cloud kitchens, restaurants, or catering operations.
· Experience in supervising kitchen teams is preferred.
