Job Summary
The HVAC Technician will be responsible for the installation, operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems throughout the resort. The role requires strong technical knowledge, quick response to breakdowns, and the ability to maintain comfortable and safe temperature conditions for guests, staff, kitchens, restaurants, rooms, and other resort facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- HVAC Operations & Maintenance
- Operate and maintain air-conditioning and ventilation systems across the resort.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC equipment.
- Inspect AHUs, FCUs, split ACs, package units, VRF/VRV systems, chillers, cooling towers, exhaust and ventilation systems.
- Monitor HVAC performance and identify abnormal operating conditions.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs
- Diagnose and repair HVAC system faults and breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and control-system issues.
- Handle refrigerant charging, leak detection, pressure testing, and related maintenance.
- Attend emergency HVAC complaints promptly, particularly in guest rooms and critical resort areas.
- Resort / Hospitality Responsibilities
- Respond quickly to guest-room HVAC complaints and maintenance requests.
- Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Kitchen, F&B, and other departments regarding HVAC-related issues.
- Ensure guest comfort by maintaining appropriate temperature and ventilation standards.
- Provide maintenance support for restaurants, banquet halls, spa, kitchens, offices, staff accommodation, and other resort facilities.
- Preventive Maintenance
- Follow the resort's preventive maintenance schedule.
- Clean and inspect filters, coils, ducts, drains, fans, motors, compressors, and other components.
- Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, spare parts, and repairs.
- Identify potential equipment failures before they affect resort operations.
- Energy & Cost Control
- Monitor HVAC systems for efficient energy consumption.
- Identify opportunities to reduce electricity and maintenance costs.
- Ensure equipment operates according to manufacturer recommendations and resort standards.
- Safety & Compliance
- Follow all resort safety procedures and engineering department standards.
- Handle refrigerants, electrical equipment, tools, and machinery safely.
- Use appropriate PPE and follow safe working practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in plant rooms and maintenance areas.
- Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with the Chief Engineer / Engineering Manager for major repairs and maintenance requirements.
- Maintain daily maintenance reports and equipment records.
- Inform management about major breakdowns, recurring faults, and replacement requirements.
- Assist external contractors and service technicians when required.
Required Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma / Technical Certificate in HVAC, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of hands-on HVAC experience.
- Experience in a resort, hotel, hospitality property, or large commercial facility is highly preferred.
- Good knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read basic technical drawings and equipment manuals.
Preferred Technical Experience
Experience with one or more of the following:
- Split and Window AC systems
- VRF / VRV systems
- AHU and FCU
- Chillers and cooling towers
- Package AC units
- Ventilation and exhaust systems
- Refrigeration systems
- Pumps, motors and compressors
- HVAC control systems / BMS
- Preventive maintenance systems

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
