We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our Finance and Compliance functions, ensuring financial stability, regulatory compliance, and sustainable business growth.
Job Summary
The CFO will oversee the company's financial operations, compliance, and strategic financial planning. The role involves managing accounting, budgeting, taxation, treasury, audits, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting while partnering with the leadership team to support business growth and operational excellence.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance analysis.
- Oversee accounting operations, MIS reporting, treasury, cash flow, and working capital management.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Monitor financial performance and recommend strategies to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Drive financial planning and support business expansion initiatives.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, GST, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Oversee regulatory compliance applicable to the FinTech business, including RBI and other relevant regulatory guidelines where applicable.
- Manage statutory, internal, tax, and regulatory audits.
- Develop and strengthen internal controls, financial policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks.
- Identify financial and compliance risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Strategic Responsibilities
- Support fundraising, investor due diligence, financial modeling, and board reporting.
- Collaborate with banks, auditors, legal advisors, investors, and regulatory authorities.
- Drive finance process automation and ERP implementation to improve operational efficiency.
- Build, mentor, and lead the Finance and Compliance team.
Required Skills
- 7–10 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, and Compliance, preferably in a FinTech, NBFC, Banking, or Financial Services organization.
- Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, treasury, taxation, audit, and statutory compliance.
- Working knowledge of RBI regulations, AML/KYC requirements, corporate governance, and financial risk management applicable to FinTech organizations.
- Experience in financial modeling, MIS reporting, and strategic financial planning.
- Strong analytical, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory.
- MBA (Finance), CMA, or CFA will be an added advantage.
- Prior experience in a startup or high-growth FinTech environment is preferred.
