About the Role
Legacium Technologies is seeking an experienced and dynamic Team Lead – Academic Counsellor to lead and mentor a team of Higher Education Advisors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving admissions, achieving team targets, improving counselling quality, and ensuring an exceptional experience for students and parents throughout the admission journey.
The Team Lead will play a key role in managing daily operations, coaching counsellors, monitoring performance, and collaborating with the admissions, marketing, and operations teams to maximize student conversions and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Academic Counsellors/Higher Education Advisors.
- Allocate and monitor daily leads to ensure timely follow-ups and maximum conversion.
- Guide students and parents in selecting suitable academic programs, colleges, and career pathways.
- Monitor team performance through KPIs such as lead conversion, admissions, follow-up efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and one-on-one mentoring.
- Ensure accurate and timely updates of leads, follow-ups, and admissions in the CRM system.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve enquiry-to-admission conversion rates.
- Coordinate with the Marketing, Admissions, and Operations teams to ensure seamless student onboarding.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for management.
- Resolve escalated student and parent queries professionally and efficiently.
- Ensure adherence to counselling standards, company policies, and admission procedures.
- Organize team meetings, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Participate in educational seminars, admission drives, webinars, school visits, and promotional events when required.
- Drive the team to consistently achieve and exceed monthly admission and revenue targets.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Master's degree preferred).
- 2–5+ years of experience in Academic Counselling, Higher Education Admissions, EdTech, Education Consulting, Student Recruitment, or Sales.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in team handling or leadership is preferred.
- Proven experience in achieving admission and revenue targets.
- Experience working with CRM systems and lead management processes.
- Prior experience in the Higher Education or EdTech industry will be an added advantage.
