About the Role
We are looking for an Audio Algorithm Development Manager to lead the design and deployment of high-performance audio algorithms for next-generation of audio enabled multimedia platforms. This role combines audio/DSP expertise with people leadership, owning audio algorithm development from concept and modeling through validation and product release.
You will work at the heart of audio solutions balancing audio quality, latency, power, and compute constraints, while collaborating closely with hardware, firmware, and product teams.
⸻
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Lead development of audio algorithms including (but not limited to):
- Equalization, Dynamic Range Control (DRC), loudness management
- Spatial audio, stereo widening, crosstalk cancellation
- Psychoacoustic tuning and perceptual optimization
- Drive algorithm performance under real-time, low-power, and fixed-point constraints.
- Guide modeling, simulation, and objective/perceptual evaluation of audio quality.
- Review and approve algorithm architectures, trade-offs, and optimizations.
⸻
Team & People Management
- Build, manage, and mentor a team of audio algorithm engineers.
- Set technical direction and enforce best practices in DSP design and implementation.
- Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and performance evaluations.
- Support career growth and technical depth within the team.
⸻
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with architects, hardware designers, firmware teams, and silicon validation.
- Collaborate with product management and OEM partners on audio requirements and tuning targets.
- Support post-silicon bring-up, debugging, and field issue resolution.
Execution & Delivery
- Own audio algorithm roadmaps, schedules, and risk assessments.
- Ensure on-time delivery of production-ready audio algorithms.
- Drive documentation, IP reuse, and scalability across product generations.
Why Join Us
- Lead audio innovation that ships in millions of consumer devices.
- Work at the intersection of acoustics, DSP, and silicon.
- Influence product direction from early architecture to final tuning.
- Collaborative, engineering-driven culture with strong growth opportunities
