Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Assembly Fitter to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and complete machines according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills, experience in mechanical assembly, and a commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and complete equipment as per engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, Bills of Materials (BOM), work instructions, and technical specifications.
- Perform fitting, alignment, fastening, and adjustment of mechanical parts to achieve specified tolerances.
- Use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, measuring instruments, and assembly fixtures correctly and safely.
- Install bearings, shafts, couplings, gears, seals, pulleys, belts, pneumatic, and hydraulic components as required.
- Conduct functional checks, alignment verification, and basic testing of assembled equipment.
- Identify and rectify assembly defects, non-conformities, and dimensional issues.
- Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve assembly-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate production and assembly records.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area following 5S practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
Qualifications
- ITI in Fitter, Mechanical, or equivalent technical qualification.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is an added advantage.
- 2–5 years of experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Technical Skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly blueprints.
- Knowledge of mechanical assembly processes and fitting techniques.
- Experience in assembly of industrial machinery, equipment, or automation systems.
- Familiarity with bearings, gearboxes, shafts, couplings, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Skilled in the use of measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and torque wrenches.
- Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of quality inspection procedures and documentation.
Working Conditions
- Work in a manufacturing or assembly shop environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle mechanical components.
- May require lifting materials using appropriate handling equipment.
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
