Job Description – Customer Service Executive (Ocean Export)
Position: Customer Service Executive – Ocean Export
Location: Ahmedabad
Industry: Freight Forwarding / Logistics
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle end-to-end Ocean Export shipments.
- Coordinate with customers, shipping lines, overseas agents, transporters, and internal teams.
- Process booking requests and arrange vessel schedules.
- Prepare and verify export documentation, including Shipping Instructions, Bill of Lading, and other related documents.
- Track shipments and provide timely status updates to customers.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements and export regulations.
- Resolve customer queries and shipment-related issues promptly.
- Maintain shipment records and update operational systems accurately.
- Follow up on pending documents, approvals, and shipment milestones.
Requirements:
- Graduate or MBA in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in Ocean Export Customer Service within a freight forwarding company.
- Good knowledge of export documentation and shipping procedures.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and logistics software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple shipments.
Preferred Skills:
- Customer-focused approach.
- Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.
- Team player with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of international trade and Incoterms will be an advantage.
