Job Summary
Innoworq is looking for an experienced System Administrator - Unix (Linux) to join our
Infrastructure Operations team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate should have hands-on
experience in managing enterprise Linux environments, incident management, server
administration, patch management, and customer support while ensuring SLA compliance.
The role involves handling customer-raised service requests, troubleshooting infrastructure
issues, performing server maintenance, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to
ensure high availability and smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and administer Linux/Unix servers (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS,
Ubuntu).
Respond to auto-generated alerts, incident tickets, and customer service requests
within SLA.
Perform server installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance.
Execute planned activities including server patching, firmware upgrades, and hotfix
installations.
Prepare and share pre-patch and post-patch reports with customers.
Troubleshoot server performance, availability, and infrastructure-related issues.
Monitor server health using monitoring tools and dashboards.
Create, modify, and manage user accounts, groups, and permissions.
Perform package management, patch management, and system updates.
Manage Logical Volume Management (LVM) and extend Linux file systems when
required.
Ensure successful server backup and restoration whenever needed.
Track server inventory and maintain infrastructure documentation.
Create Change Requests (CRs) for planned activities following Change Management
processes.
Raise Problem Management tickets for recurring issues.
Coordinate with OEM vendors, networking, security, and application support teams
for issue resolution.
Maintain detailed ticket updates and ensure timely closure of incidents.
Communicate professionally with customers through emails and status updates.

Eligibility
BE/B.Tech (Mandatory)
