Job Summary:
Job Title: Store In-charge
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day store operations, maintaining accurate inventory and stock records, co-ordinating material receipt and issue, and ensuring proper documentation. The role also involves supporting procurement coordination, compliance with company procedures, and smooth store functioning.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management, Stock Control & Documentation
· Receive, inspect, record, store, and issue raw materials, components, and finished goods.
· Maintain accurate inventory records including stock registers, bin cards, and ERP/Bill Book entries.
· Conduct periodic stock verification, cycle counts, and physical inventory audits.
· Ensure FIFO, proper stacking, labeling, and safe storage practices.
· Minimize stock discrepancies, material wastage, and losses.
· Maintain organized storage of customer and company materials.
Store Operations, Material Handling & Coordination
· Oversee daily store operations ensuring efficient workflow and organized layout.
· Coordinate loading, unloading, storage allocation, and timely dispatch/receipt of materials.
· Ensure uninterrupted material availability for production and service requirements.
· Coordinate with procurement for timely material purchase and receipt.
· Liaise with production, service, sales, and field teams for material planning and issue.
· Support field service coordination including material tracking, client communication, and data updates.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
· Inspect incoming materials for quality, quantity, and damage as per company standards.
· Ensure compliance with safety norms, housekeeping standards, and internal procedures.
· Maintain clean, safe, and well-organized store premises at all times.
· Support internal and external audits through accurate documentation and record maintenance.
· Ensure adherence to company policies and quality requirements.
Reporting, Systems & Administrative Support
· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock and inward/outward reports.
· Maintain delivery challans, GRNs, issue slips, and other store-related documentation.
· Update CRM, inventory systems, and Bill Book software with transaction details.
· Track quotations, payment statuses, and customer records where applicable.
· Coordinate with accounts for billing, reconciliation, and inventory valuation support.
Team Supervision & Continuous Improvement
· Supervise, guide, and allocate tasks to store assistants/helpers.
· Train staff on inventory procedures, safety, and documentation standards.
· Promote discipline, accountability, and teamwork within store operations.
· Identify process improvements to enhance store efficiency and accuracy.
· Support operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Skills
1. Strong organizational, coordination, and documentation skills.
2. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Advanced Microsoft Excel.
3. Hands-on experience with inventory software.
4. Knowledge of inventory control practices (FIFO, stock audits, material handling).
5. Good communication and inter-department coordination skills.
6. Attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving ability.
7. Familiarity with e-commerce portals (India MART, company websites) and CRM systems.
