Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled IT Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring network availability, security, and performance while supporting the organization's IT operations and client infrastructure requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and internet connectivity.
- Monitor network performance and ensure maximum uptime.
- Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
- Perform network upgrades and expansions as required.
- Maintain network diagrams and infrastructure documentation.
System & Infrastructure Support
- Provide technical support for network-related issues.
- Configure and maintain server connectivity and network services.
- Support cloud and hybrid network environments.
- Manage DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for issue resolution.
Network Security
- Implement and maintain network security controls.
- Configure and manage firewall policies and VPN access.
- Monitor network traffic and identify security threats.
- Perform security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Ensure compliance with company security policies.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve network outages and performance issues.
- Monitor network bandwidth utilization and capacity planning.
- Analyze logs and network alerts to prevent disruptions.
- Provide root cause analysis (RCA) for critical incidents.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain network inventory and asset records.
- Prepare technical reports and maintenance documentation.
- Document network changes, incidents, and troubleshooting activities.
- Assist in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Networking, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in network administration or network engineering.
- Strong knowledge of:
- TCP/IP
- DNS
- DHCP
- VLANs
- VPNs
- Routing and Switching
- Network Security
- Experience configuring and managing network devices from Cisco Systems, Juniper Networks, Fortinet, or similar vendors.
- Familiarity with firewall management and network monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as:
- CCNA
- CCNP
- CompTIA Network+
- Fortinet NSE
- Experience with cloud networking platforms.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience supporting multi-site network environments.
