Job Summary
A Lathe Machine Turner is responsible for operating and maintaining lathe machines to manufacture precision metal or plastic components according to engineering drawings and production specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate conventional or CNC lathe machines safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Set up tools, fixtures, and machine parameters.
- Perform turning, facing, threading, drilling, and boring operations.
- Measure finished parts using vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish quality.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
- Monitor production output and report defects or machine issues.
- Follow safety standards and company procedures.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of lathe machine operations.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments.
- Basic understanding of machining tolerances.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Teamwork and time management skills.
Qualification
- ITI Turner / Machinist or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Pay: ₹700.00 - ₹800.00 per day
