EXPERIENCE ? 4-7 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance ? Minimum 2–4 years on hands-on defect management / SIT experience ? Prior exposure to Telecom OSS/BSS systems and large?scale System Integration Testing programs in multi-vendor environments ? Proven experience in Functional & Regression testing for telecom workflows across multiple applications ? Good experience with test management, defect management & CI/CD tools - JIRA, ALM/Octane, Jenkins ? Good communication skills and a team player KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES • Defect Logging & Classification - Log defects with clear, complete, and reproducible details, including steps, logs, screenshots, and traceability to requirements. • Defect Triage Support - Actively participate in daily defect triage calls, presenting defects, clarifying scenarios, and supporting prioritization and ownership assignment. • Defect Tracking & Follow-ups - Track defects through their lifecycle, ensuring continuous follow-up with development teams for timely resolution and updates. • Reproduction & Validation - Reproduce defects in SIT environments and perform retesting and closure validation once fixes are deployed. • Severity / Priority Adherence - Assign and validate defect severity and priority based on business impact, ensuring alignment with defined governance standards. • Integration Defect Analysis - Analyse defects across multiple OSS/BSS systems, helping identify whether issues are due to service logic, integration gaps, data inconsistencies, or environment issues. • Defect Documentation & Evidence Management - Ensure all defects have adequate logs and supporting evidence to accelerate root cause identification by developers. • Defect Metrics Support - Contribute to defect metrics by maintaining accurate data • Collaboration Across Teams - Work closely with Functional, Automation, and Performance Testing teams and provide clarity on defect scenarios.
