Job Description – Indian Curry Chef
Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Indian Curry Chef with at least 1 year of experience in preparing authentic North Indian curries and gravies. The candidate should have good knowledge of food quality, hygiene standards and kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of Indian curries, gravies, dals and rice dishes as per standard recipes.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the work area in accordance with food safety standards.
- Monitor food quality, portion control and minimize wastage.
- Check the freshness of ingredients and maintain proper storage.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food preparation and service.
- Follow recipes, SOPs, and instructions from senior chefs.
- Assist in stock management and report ingredient shortages.
Requirements
- Minimum 1+ year of experience as an Indian Curry Chef or Commis in an Indian kitchen.
- Good knowledge of Indian spices, gravies and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Flexible to work in shifts, weekends and holidays.
Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
