About Origin
Origin is building general-purpose autonomous robots for critical infrastructure buildout. Our priority is the buildout the US cannot afford to slow down: data centres and power plants, where rising costs, safety risks, and labour shortages hit hardest. Our modular, multi-trade platform combines purpose-built hardware with real-time site intelligence to navigate complex environments and execute tasks with precision. Trained in high-fidelity simulation and already deployed on live sites, our robots deliver 5x faster execution, 250%+ margin expansion, and significant cost savings. Join India's most talent-dense robotics team, consisting of individuals from IITs, Stanford, UCLA, and more.
About the Role
As the Lead Technical Program Manager at Origin, you will own how the engineering team executes. This is the first dedicated program function at Origin, and you will build it from the ground up.
You will run the OKR system, own the dependencies across autonomy, hardware, and field operations, and drive the delivery cadence that turns three teams into one machine. Sitting at the centre of a Physical AI company, you will move fluently between ML engineers, mechanical and manufacturing teams, and field deployment, keeping the product rollout on schedule and the robots shipping faster.
You do not own the engineering. You own how it comes together on time.
Key Responsibilities
-
Define and run the company-wide OKR system, with every key result owned, tracked, and reported on a weekly cadence.
-
Own cross-team dependencies and the critical path across autonomy, hardware, and operations, so work moves without the founders brokering it.
-
Drive the autonomy program across data, model development, simulation, and QA, keeping milestones, dependencies, and handoffs on track in partnership with the autonomy leads.
-
Drive the hardware program across design, manufacturing, assembly, and validation, holding the schedule and surfacing risks in partnership with the hardware leads.
-
Own triage and closure of field issues from deployed units, accountable for time-to-resolve rather than just logging the bug.
-
Make work visible across Asana and the hardware design tracking system, so no deliverable lives only in someone's head.
-
Build the weekly delivery rhythm and reporting that lets the founders step out of day-to-day coordination.
Qualifications and Skills
-
Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or MBA
-
8+ years in technical program or engineering program management, including hardware or robotics programs.
-
Proven track record running cross-functional programs where mechanical, electrical, embedded, and autonomy all had to land together.
-
Fluency with both fast-iterating autonomy delivery and hardware realities such as long lead times, BOMs, design freezes, and manufacturing dependencies.
-
Strong systems thinking and the ability to build a program function from zero, not just operate one that already exists.
-
Excellent written communication and sharp judgment on what to escalate and what to absorb.
-
Ability to lead and thrive in a fast-paced start up environment.
Bonus
-
Experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or another Physical AI domain.
-
Hands-on exposure to hardware manufacturing and assembly at an early-stage company.
Why Join Us?
-
Work directly with the founders to define how a venture-backed Physical AI company runs.
-
Be part of a mission to build robots that take on the harshest, least safe work across critical infrastructure.
-
Experience the thrill of building not just a product, but a company from the ground up.
