Merchandising Manager – Apparel Division
Location: Delhi NCR
Compensation: ₹18 LPA+ (based on experience)
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and driven Merchandising Manager to lead our apparel division across both production and commercial functions. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage factory-level execution while also driving client relationships, sales growth, and team performance.
You will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of apparel merchandising across men’s and women’s wear, ensuring product quality, timely delivery, and strong market positioning.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production & Supply Chain Management
- Oversee end-to-end production from sampling to final delivery
- Work closely with factories and vendors to ensure timelines, quality, and cost efficiency
- Manage on-ground factory operations and troubleshooting
- Maintain strong control over sourcing, fabric selection, trims, and vendor coordination
- Leverage deep knowledge of the Indian apparel supply chain
2. Sales & Business Development
- Manage and grow relationships with existing clients
- Travel (including Europe) for client meetings, presentations, and business development
- Identify new business opportunities and drive revenue growth
- Collaborate with clients on product development and seasonal ranges
3. Merchandising & Product Management
- Oversee product lifecycle for both men’s and women’s categories
- Ensure alignment between design, production, and client requirements
- Monitor order status, costing, margins, and delivery schedules
4. Team Leadership
- Lead and manage a team of merchandisers
- Set KPIs, monitor performance, and ensure smooth workflow across the team
- Mentor and develop team capabilities
Requirements
- 8–12+ years of experience in apparel merchandising (export-focused preferred)
- Proven experience handling both production and client-facing roles
- Strong understanding of Indian manufacturing and supply chain ecosystems
- Experience managing international clients (Europe preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple categories (men’s & women’s wear)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational abilities
- Willingness to travel frequently
