Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field before and during surgical procedures.
- Arrange, sterilize, and handle surgical instruments, drapes, and consumables.
- Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies during operations.
- Ensure availability and proper functioning of OT equipment before surgery.
- Follow infection prevention and control protocols, including aseptic techniques.
- Perform instrument counting before, during, and after surgery.
- Coordinate with surgeons, anesthetists, nursing staff, and OT personnel for smooth surgical procedures.
- Assist in cleaning, disinfecting, and preparing the OT for subsequent surgeries.
- Maintain accurate records of OT consumables, instruments, and equipment.
- Adhere to NABH standards, patient safety protocols, and hospital policies
Required Skills
- Excellent knowledge of surgical instruments and OT protocols.
- Experience assisting in General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Urology, ENT, Gynaecology, or other specialties.
- Familiarity with sterilization techniques and CSSD coordination.
- Ability to work efficiently in emergency and elective surgeries.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills.
- Commitment to patient safety and infection control practices.
Eligibility Criteria
- Diploma/B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology.
- Minimum 3 years of scrub-side OT experience in a reputed 100+ bedded hospital.
- Experience in multi-speciality OT will be preferred.
- Knowledge of NABH standards and OT documentation is desirable.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
