Job Title: Commis Chef (I / II / III)
Job Summary:
We are looking for passionate kitchen professionals at different Commis levels to support food preparation and kitchen operations. Candidates will work under senior chefs to maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and efficiency.
Commis III (Entry-Level)Role Overview:
Entry-level position focused on basic food preparation and learning kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in basic food prep (cutting, peeling, chopping vegetables)
- Follow instructions from senior chefs
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and workstations
- Store ingredients properly and follow FIFO method
- Support team during service
Requirements:
- Basic culinary knowledge or freshers welcome
- Willingness to learn and grow
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Commis II (Intermediate Level)Role Overview:
Handles specific sections with supervision and has better control over cooking processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook simple dishes as per standards
- Assist Chef de Partie in managing a section
- Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation
- Monitor stock for assigned section
- Follow hygiene and safety standards strictly
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of kitchen experience
- Basic understanding of cooking techniques
- Ability to handle pressure during busy hours
Commis I (Advanced Level)Role Overview:
Experienced Commis responsible for handling a section independently and supporting junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage a kitchen section during service
- Prepare and cook dishes with minimal supervision
- Guide and train Commis II & III
- Maintain quality, consistency, and presentation standards
- Assist in inventory control and ordering
- Ensure strict adherence to hygiene and safety regulations
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations
- Leadership and mentoring ability
