Job Summary
Tushar Elegant Hotel is looking for an experienced and professional Restaurant Manager with 4–5 years of relevant experience in the hospitality and restaurant industry. The candidate will be responsible for managing the overall restaurant operations, maintaining high service standards, supervising staff, ensuring guest satisfaction, controlling costs, and achieving operational targets.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of hospitality operations, excellent communication and leadership skills, and hands-on experience in managing restaurant teams and day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities1. Restaurant Operations
- Manage the complete day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
- Ensure smooth coordination between the restaurant, kitchen, housekeeping, front office, and other hotel departments.
- Maintain high standards of food service, hygiene, cleanliness, and guest experience.
- Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed.
- Monitor restaurant ambience, presentation, and service quality.
2. Team Management
- Supervise, train, motivate, and manage restaurant staff.
- Prepare staff duty rosters and allocate responsibilities effectively.
- Monitor employee attendance, grooming, discipline, and performance.
- Conduct regular briefings and provide guidance to the service team.
- Identify training requirements and improve staff performance.
3. Guest Service & Hospitality
- Ensure excellent customer service and maintain high hospitality standards.
- Handle guest complaints, feedback, and special requests professionally.
- Build strong relationships with regular and VIP guests.
- Ensure proper table service and timely coordination with the kitchen.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and take corrective action when required.
4. Sales & Cost Control
- Monitor restaurant sales and work toward achieving revenue targets.
- Control food wastage, operating costs, and unnecessary expenses.
- Coordinate with the purchase/store department for stock requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper stock utilization.
- Support promotional activities and suggest ideas to increase restaurant revenue.
5. Hygiene & Compliance
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, service areas, equipment, and storage spaces.
- Ensure employees follow proper grooming and hygiene standards.
- Maintain necessary operational records and checklists.
6. Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with the Hotel Manager and senior management regarding restaurant operations.
- Prepare daily/weekly operational reports as required.
- Monitor sales, guest feedback, staff performance, and operational issues.
- Ensure proper communication between management and restaurant staff.
- Assist management in planning special events, parties, banquets, and hotel functions.
Required Skills
- 4–5 years of experience in restaurant/hotel/hospitality management.
- Strong practical knowledge of hospitality and restaurant operations.
- Excellent leadership and team-management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong guest-handling and complaint-resolution abilities.
- Knowledge of food service standards and restaurant SOPs.
- Basic knowledge of inventory and cost control.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Professional personality with excellent grooming and presentation.
- Knowledge of POS systems and basic computer operations will be an advantage.
Educational Qualification
Graduate/Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
Candidates with strong relevant experience in the hospitality industry may also be considered.
Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be well-groomed, responsible, customer-focused, and confident in managing a restaurant team independently. Preference will be given to candidates who have previously worked in hotels, fine-dining restaurants, cafés, banquet operations, or hospitality establishments and understand professional hotel service standards.
