Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and managing electronic health records (EHR) systems: Entering, updating, and retrieving patient information accurately and efficiently.
- Compiling and organizing patient information: Gathering data from various sources, including doctor's notes, test results, and treatment plans.
- Coding diagnoses and procedures: Utilizing standard coding systems like ICD, CPT, and HCPCS to classify medical information for billing and data analysis.
- Verifying and updating patient records: Ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Maintaining confidentiality and security of patient information: Adhering to HIPAA guidelines and organizational policies.
