Job Summary
HR Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day HR operations, attendance, recruitment, employee relations, statutory compliance, contractor manpower management, training coordination, and HR documentation for smooth functioning of the steel plant.
Key Responsibilities1. Recruitment & Manpower Planning
- Coordinate manpower requirements with department heads.
- Source candidates through job portals, consultants, and references.
- Conduct initial screening and interviews.
- Coordinate joining formalities and induction programs.
- Maintain recruitment MIS and vacancy status.
2. Attendance & Leave Management
- Monitor biometric attendance system.
- Verify daily attendance, late coming, early leaving, and absenteeism.
- Process leave applications and maintain records.
- Generate attendance reports for payroll processing.
3. Payroll Support
- Prepare attendance data for payroll.
- Verify overtime (OT), shift allowances, and deductions.
- Coordinate with payroll team for salary processing.
- Resolve employee salary-related queries.
4. Employee Relations
- Handle employee grievances and disciplinary matters.
- Maintain positive employee relations across departments.
- Conduct employee engagement activities.
- Support welfare initiatives and employee communication.
5. Contractor & Labour Management
- Monitor contractor manpower deployment.
- Verify labour attendance and statutory records.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws.
- Coordinate with contractors regarding workforce requirements.
6. HR Documentation
- Maintain employee personal files.
- Manage joining, confirmation, transfer, promotion, and separation records.
- Update HRMS and employee database.
- Maintain confidential HR records.
7. Training & Development
- Coordinate employee training programs.
- Maintain training records and attendance.
- Track skill development requirements.
- Prepare training effectiveness reports.
8. Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with:
- Factory Act
- Labour Laws
- PF
- ESIC
- Bonus Act
- Gratuity Act
- CLRA Act
- Minimum Wages Act
- Maintain statutory registers and records.
- Support labour inspections and audits.
9. Performance Management
- Assist in performance appraisal process.
- Maintain KPI and appraisal records.
- Coordinate with department heads for evaluations.
10. Exit Management
- Conduct exit interviews.
- Complete full and final settlement documentation.
- Process relieving letters and experience certificates.
- Maintain employee separation records.
Required Qualifications
- MBA (HR) / MSW / PGDM (HR)
- Graduate with relevant manufacturing experience may also apply.
Experience
- 2 to 5 Years in Steel Plant / Manufacturing Industry.
- Experience in attendance, payroll, recruitment, and labour compliance preferred.
