Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Purchase Trainee / Purchase Engineer to support procurement activities for our Valve Manufacturing Division. The candidate will be responsible for vendor coordination, purchase order processing, material follow-up, and maintaining procurement records.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing materials and components from approved suppliers
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs)
- Follow up with suppliers for quotations, deliveries, and documentation
- Coordinate with Stores, Production, Planning, and Quality departments
- Maintain purchase records, vendor databases, and procurement reports
- Compare quotations and prepare cost comparison statements
- Track material deliveries and ensure timely availability of materials
- Support vendor development and supplier evaluation activities
- Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures
Required Skills
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Basic knowledge of procurement and supply chain concepts
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office
- Ability to coordinate with suppliers and internal departments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn and grow in the procurement function
