Jeevan Rekha Hospital is a NABH-certified, 220-bed tertiary care multi-speciality hospital committed to delivering high-quality patient care and clinical excellence. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operation Theatre (OT) Manager to oversee and manage OT operations efficiently.
Job Summary
The OT Manager will be responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and smooth functioning of the Operation Theatre Complex. The role involves managing OT schedules, manpower, infection control practices, equipment, inventory, NABH compliance, and ensuring safe and efficient surgical services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of all Operation Theatres.
- Coordinate with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Nursing Teams, and Support Departments for smooth surgical procedures.
- Prepare and monitor OT schedules and surgical lists.
- Ensure availability of surgical instruments, consumables, implants, and equipment.
- Supervise OT Technicians, OT Nurses, CSSD staff, and support personnel.
- Ensure strict compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Monitor sterilization processes and CSSD coordination.
- Ensure adherence to NABH standards, patient safety goals, and quality indicators.
- Maintain OT documentation, records, and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor OT utilization, turnaround time, and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and calibration of OT equipment.
- Conduct staff training and competency assessments.
- Handle OT audits, incident reporting, and corrective actions.
- Manage inventory, vendor coordination, and cost-control measures.
Eligibility Criteria
- B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing / Diploma or Degree in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT).
- Master's Degree in Hospital Administration (MHA) or Healthcare Management will be an added advantage.
- Certification in Infection Control, OT Management, or NABH Standards preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in Operation Theatre Management.
- At least 2–3 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a multi-speciality hospital.
- Experience in NABH-accredited hospitals will be preferred.
