Job Summary
The MIG Welding Operator is responsible for performing welding operations using MIG welding machines to fabricate and assemble metal parts according to drawings and specifications while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, or other metals as per drawing requirements.
- Read and understand engineering drawings and welding symbols.
- Set up and operate MIG welding machines and related equipment.
- Ensure proper alignment and fit-up of components before welding.
- Inspect welded joints to ensure quality and strength.
- Maintain proper welding parameters such as voltage, current, and gas flow.
- Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements during welding operations.
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of welding machines and tools.
- Coordinate with the production supervisor and quality team for work completion.
- Maintain workplace cleanliness and safety standards.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of MIG welding techniques.
- Ability to read fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of welding safety practices.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of metal fabrication processes.
Key Requirements
- 1–3 years experience in MIG welding.
- Ability to work in shift operations if required.
Physically fit to perform welding tasks in a factory environment
