Role Description
Hands-on Electronics Testing Engineer/Test Technician capable of independently performing testing, troubleshooting, debugging, executing test procedures, understanding schematics, and supporting hardware validation for embedded and rugged electronic systems.
Desired Experience
- Ability to understand and interpret electronic schematics and PCB layouts.
- Hands-on experience in board-level testing, troubleshooting, and debugging.
- Experience in executing test procedures and preparing test reports.
- Proficiency in using Oscilloscope, Digital Multimeter (DMM), Power Supply, Function Generator, and Logic Analyzer.
- Knowledge of Analog and Digital Electronics.
- Familiarity with communication interfaces such as UART, RS232/RS422/RS485, SPI, I²C, CAN, USB, and Ethernet.
- Ability to perform fault isolation and root cause analysis independently.
- Basic soldering and rework skills are preferred.
- Knowledge of Linux-based hardware testing is an added advantage.
- Experience in Defence/Aerospace or Rugged Embedded Systems is preferred.
- High-speed hardware testing and debugging is an added advantage
Additional Skills / Experience (Not essential, but will be an added advantage)
- Good understanding of Analog & Digital Electronics
- Reading electronic schematics
- DMM, Oscilloscope, Power Supply, Function Generator, Electronic Load
- Debugging DC-DC converters, Power Supplies, Ethernet, USB, UART, SPI, I²C, RS232/422/485, CAN, GPIO
- Windows/Linux, PuTTY/Tera Term
- ESD handling, documentation, soldering/rework (added advantage)
- Experience in Embedded Systems, Industrial Computers, COM Express, VPX, VME, VNX, Defence/Aerospace electronics.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform functional testing of PCB assemblies and systems. • Execute validation and production test procedures. • Independently troubleshoot board- and system-level issues. • Verify power rails, clocks, reset, and interfaces. • Perform root cause analysis. • Prepare test reports. • Support design engineers during debugging. • Conduct regression testing after design changes. • Follow ESD, quality, and safety procedures
