About the Role
SD Biosensor Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Executive – Government Sales to drive business growth through Government Institutions, Medical Colleges, Public Sector Hospitals, Defence, Railways, CGHS, ESIC, State Health Departments, and other institutional customers. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in government tenders, GeM, institutional sales, and business development within the IVD or Medical Device industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and expand business with Central and State Government institutions.
- Identify new government business opportunities and institutional customers.
- Manage end-to-end tender activities including GeM, CPPP, e-Procurement portals, and state tender portals.
- Prepare and submit technical and commercial bids in coordination with internal teams.
- Build strong relationships with government hospitals, procurement authorities, medical colleges, and key decision-makers.
- Coordinate with distributors and channel partners for successful execution of government projects
- Ensure Timely submission of tenders, compliance documents, EMDs, and contractual requirements.
- Track upcoming tenders, rate contracts, and procurement opportunities.
- Negotiate commercial terms and support order finalization.
- Work closely with Sales, Product Management, Finance, Regulatory, and Service teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Monitor sales targets, revenue generation, collections, and business growth.
- Maintain accurate records of opportunities, tenders, quotations, and customer interactions.
- Provide regular market intelligence, competitor analysis, and government procurement updates.
- Willingness to travel
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Pharmacy, Biomedical Engineering, Business Administration, .
- 3–6 years of experience in Government Sales, Institutional Sales, Tender Management, or Business Development within the IVD or Medical Device industry.
- Proven experience in handling GeM, CPPP, state e-tender portals, and government procurement processes.
- Good understanding of public procurement policies and tender documentation.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
- Willingness to travel extensively across assigned territories.
Preferred Experience : Candidates with experience in selling IVD diagnostic products such as POCT, Molecular Diagnostics, Hematology, Immunoassay, Clinical Chemistry, HbA1c, HPLC, Blood Glucose Monitoring Systems (BGMS), or other diagnostic instruments to government institutions will be preferred.
