Job Title: Installation Engineer - EV Charging
Location: Cochin
We are seeking a skilled installation engineer with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience specifically in installing and maintaining Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE). You will be responsible for site assessments, electrical upgrades, and the successful installation and commissioning of both AC Level 2 and DC Fast Chargers at residential and commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Commissioning: Safely install, wire, and configure EV charging stations according to manufacturer specifications and local electrical codes.
- Site Assessments: Conduct pre-installation site visits to evaluate electrical panels, load capacities, and optimal conduit routing.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and repair hardware or connectivity issues with existing charging stations.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work meets strict safety standards and passes local municipal electrical inspections.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of materials used, labor hours, and post-installation testing results.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of proven, direct experience installing EV charging stations.
- Licensing: Valid state electrical license or equivalent certification (e.g., ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering).
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of electrical circuits, load calculations, wiring diagrams, and grounding systems.
- Communication: Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to explain technical operations to clients clearly.
