About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and enhance a modern cloud platform that enables secure, scalable, and highly reliable software delivery.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS, Kubernetes (Amazon EKS), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevSecOps, cloud architecture, automation, and platform engineering. You will play a key role in building cloud infrastructure, improving developer productivity, strengthening security, and optimizing platform performance.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlatform Engineering
- Design, implement, and manage Amazon EKS (Kubernetes) architecture.
- Improve platform scalability, resiliency, availability, and performance.
- Lead Kubernetes upgrades, modernization, and platform improvements.
- Define Kubernetes standards, governance, and engineering best practices.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments.
- Standardize development, staging, and production environments.
- Eliminate manual infrastructure processes through automation.
Cloud Architecture
Design and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS services, including:
- Amazon EKS
- AWS Networking
- Aurora MySQL
- Redis
- Apache Kafka
- AWS Lambda
- CloudFront
- Route 53
- IAM
- AWS Secrets Manager
DevSecOps
- Build and secure CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement Policy-as-Code and security guardrails.
- Manage secrets, encryption, and access control.
- Improve software supply chain security.
SOC 2 Compliance
- Design technical controls supporting SOC 2 compliance.
- Automate compliance evidence collection.
- Improve logging, monitoring, auditing, and security readiness.
- Collaborate with compliance and security teams.
Platform Reliability
- Define and monitor Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
- Improve observability, monitoring, and alerting.
- Reduce operational effort through automation.
- Drive platform reliability and operational excellence.
Cloud Cost Optimization
- Optimize AWS infrastructure and cloud architecture.
- Improve Kubernetes resource utilization.
- Drive FinOps initiatives to reduce cloud costs.
Required Skills
- Minimum 8+ years of Platform Engineering or DevOps experience.
- Strong expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes (Amazon EKS).

Qualifications

- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
