Job Requirements
- Collaborate with designers throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely product development within target costs.
- Track cost elements, negotiate production and OTS costs, and achieve Mission 15 cost targets.
- Optimize costs without compromising design, quality, or functionality.
- Develop alternate vendors and clusters to meet capacity, cost, and quality needs.
- Source fresh stocks and new designs for OTS requirements.
- Build strong vendor relationships and position Taneira as a preferred partner.
- Plan production, ensure on-time deliveries, and reduce lead times.
- Drive new vendor and cluster development.
- Manage vendor performance and capacity expansion.
- Ensure timely PO issuance, inward processing, and vendor payments.
- Coordinate with QC on risk assessment, inspections, and preventive actions.
- Verify pre-dispatch documentation and authorize shipments.
- Analyze and improve lead times.
- Execute cluster-level special projects.
- Ensure vendor compliance and certification requirements (GI Tag, Handloom, Silk Mark, Khadi, etc.).
Work Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Handlooms, Textiles, Fashion Technology, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Experience: 8 plus years in sourcing, merchandising, vendor management, or product development, preferably in textiles, handlooms, apparel, or ethnic wear.
Key Skills: Vendor development, costing, negotiation, production coordination, supply chain management, quality compliance, and proficiency in MS Excel/ERP systems.
