Job Summary
The Kindergarten Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, caring, and stimulating learning environment that supports the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of young children. The teacher plans and delivers age-appropriate learning experiences, encourages curiosity and creativity, and works closely with parents to ensure each child's overall growth and well-being.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based, and activity-oriented lessons aligned with the school's curriculum.
- Foster the development of literacy, numeracy, communication, and social skills.
- Use innovative teaching methods, storytelling, music, art, games, and hands-on activities to enhance learning.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Classroom Management
- Ensure the safety, discipline, and well-being of all students at all times.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and child-friendly classroom.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, assemblies, recess, and school events.
- Encourage positive behaviour through constructive guidance and reinforcement.
Student Assessment
- Observe, assess, and document each child's academic, emotional, and social development.
- Maintain student portfolios, assessment records, and progress reports.
- Identify children requiring additional support and coordinate with school authorities and parents.
Parent Communication
- Build positive relationships with parents through regular communication.
- Attend Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and provide feedback on student progress.
- Address parents' concerns professionally and promptly.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, teaching aids, and classroom displays.
- Maintain attendance records and other required documentation.
- Participate in school functions, training programmes, meetings, and professional development activities.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Principal or School Management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline (B.A./B.Sc./B.Com.) with a Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Nursery Teacher Training (NTT), Diploma in Pre-School Education (DPSE), or equivalent qualification.
Pay: ₹17,254.34 - ₹21,218.89 per month
