Job Description:
An Electronics Engineer is responsible for developing and designing a variety of electronics systems and components, ensuring their functionality, efficiency, and compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities include:
1. Designing and Developing Electronics: As an Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electronic systems, circuits, and devices. This involves creating schematics and circuit diagrams, selecting appropriate components, and designing printed circuit boards (PCBs).
2. Testing and Troubleshooting: You will use specialized equipment and software to conduct tests and analyse data, ensuring that all electronics meet design specifications and performance standards. Troubleshooting problems in circuitry, software, or hardware will also be part of your role.
3. Prototyping and Manufacturing Support: You will work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure the successful production of electronic products. This includes assisting in prototyping, developing manufacturing processes, and providing technical guidance to ensure efficient and high-quality production.
4. Collaboration and Documentation: You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, mechanical engineers, and product designers. Clear communication of technical requirements, providing input on system integration, and contributing to project planning is essential. You will also be expected to document all work, including design specifications, test procedures, and technical reports.
5. Research and Development: Keeping updated with the latest advancements in electronic technology and industry trends is crucial. You will conduct research to explore new concepts, materials, and techniques that can enhance the performance and functionality of electronic systems.
6. Compliance and Standards: You will ensure that all designs meet industry standards and comply with relevant regulations and safety guidelines. This includes considering electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), safety standards, and environmental regulations throughout the design and development process.
7. Continuous Learning and Professional Development: As a lifelong learner, you will engage in professional development activities such as attending workshops, training sessions, and pursuing certifications to enhance your skills and stay abreast of the rapidly evolving field of electronics.
Qualifications:
- A graduate degree in electronics engineering or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in the same field is desirable.
- Knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) designing is a must.
- Strong technical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Commitment to continual learning and professional development.
