Job Summary
The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, food safety, and team performance. The role is responsible for maintaining Burma Burma's service standards, assisting in achieving financial targets, and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management
- Assist in managing the day-to-day restaurant operations.
- Ensure smooth opening, shift operations, and closing procedures.
- Maintain Burma Burma's hospitality and service standards at all times.
- Monitor table turnover, guest flow, and seating efficiency.
- Ensure restaurant cleanliness, hygiene, and ambience are maintained.
Guest Experience
- Deliver exceptional guest service and create memorable dining experiences.
- Handle guest complaints professionally and ensure timely resolution.
- Engage with guests to obtain feedback and improve service quality.
- Ensure all guest requests are addressed promptly.
Team Leadership
- Supervise captains, stewards, hosts, and support staff during shifts.
- Conduct daily shift briefings and communicate operational priorities.
- Train and coach team members on SOPs, product knowledge, and guest service.
- Monitor employee grooming, attendance, punctuality, and discipline.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management initiatives.
Financial & Cost Control
- Assist in achieving monthly sales and profitability targets.
- Monitor daily sales performance and suggest improvement strategies.
- Control labour costs by optimizing staffing schedules.
- Minimize wastage and ensure efficient utilization of restaurant resources.
- Support inventory management and cost control initiatives.
Food Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI guidelines and food safety standards.
- Maintain HACCP and hygiene standards across all service areas.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, statutory regulations, and safety policies.
- Monitor temperature logs, sanitation records, and cleaning schedules.
Inventory & Asset Management
- Monitor restaurant inventory, crockery, cutlery, linen, and equipment.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and stores for stock availability.
- Report maintenance issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Prevent loss, breakage, and misuse of company assets.
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare daily operational reports and shift handover notes.
- Assist in scheduling manpower and preparing duty rosters.
- Monitor attendance and ensure accurate shift records.
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, Purchase, and Maintenance departments.
- Support audits and compliance documentation.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of restaurant operations experience, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or Assistant Restaurant Manager role.
- Experience in premium casual dining or fine dining restaurants is preferred.
