Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented CO₂ / MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. While a formal certification is an advantage, we prioritize proven hands-on expertise and technical proficiency. You will be responsible for performing high-quality welding on air filtration components and structural frames, ensuring all joints meet our rigorous durability and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Welding Operations: Perform CO₂ (MIG/MAG) welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and thin-gauge sheet metal.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings and welding symbols to execute precise joints.
- Equipment Setup: Set up and calibrate welding machines, gas flow, and wire speed according to material thickness.
- Quality Control: Inspect welds for defects (cracks, porosity, or distortion) and perform rework or grinding as necessary.
- Assembly & Fit-up: Align and clamp components together for tack welding and final assembly.
- Maintenance: Maintain welding torches, tips, and other tools to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
Requirements & Skills
- Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of hands-on experience in CO₂/MIG welding.
- Technical Skill: Must be able to produce clean, strong welds with minimal spatter on thin materials.
- Certification: Optional. We value skill and a successful "welding test" over a certificate alone. (Candidates with ITI/AWS certification will be given preference).
- Precision: Ability to use measuring tools (calipers, tapes) and follow specific engineering tolerances.
- Reliability: Punctual and able to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
