We are looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Software Testing Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be the final line of defense in ensuring our software meets the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability. You will design, implement, and execute both manual and automated tests, identify elusive bugs, and work closely with developers to deliver a seamless user experience. Key Responsibilities
- Test Planning & Execution: Design, write, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and technical specifications.
- Automation: Develop, maintain, and scale automated test frameworks for UI, API, and backend systems to reduce manual testing efforts.
- Bug Tracking & Reporting: Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs using tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, product managers, and designers to understand features, resolve issues, and prevent defects early in the development lifecycle.
- Regression & Performance Testing: Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved and execute load/performance tests to ensure system stability.
- Continuous Integration: Integrate automated testing into our CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality delivery.
- Quality Advocacy: Champion quality assurance best practices across the engineering team and contribute to process improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: [X]+ years of proven experience in software quality assurance and testing.
- Testing Methodologies: Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes (Agile/Scrum environments).
- Automation Tools: Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or JUnit/TestNG).
- API Testing: Proficiency in testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or REST Assured.
- Programming Languages: Solid scripting/coding skills in at least one language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#).
- Version Control & CI/CD: Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of performance and security testing tools (e.g., JMeter, OWASP ZAP).
- Experience testing mobile applications (iOS and Android).
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
