Vehant Technologies is looking for a hands-on IT Infrastructure Engineer to support and maintain IT infrastructure across corporate offices, R&D labs, manufacturing units, and customer deployment sites.
The role requires strong fundamentals in Linux, networking, endpoint support, and system troubleshooting, with a disciplined and security-aware mindset suitable for a organization.
- Support and maintain Linux and Windows-based systems used across Vehant offices, R&D, and project sites.
- Provide L2/L3 support for user systems, servers, and embedded support environments.
- Manage user access, email accounts, VPNs, and internal tools as per company policy.
- Assist in administration of network infrastructure (switches, firewalls, VLANs, site connectivity).
- Support virtual machines and test environments used by R&D and product teams.
- Monitor system health, disk usage, logs, and uptime of servers and critical systems.
- Perform backup, restore, and basic disaster recovery tasks.
- Maintain IT asset records, system documentation, and SOPs.
- Coordinate with internal teams (R&D, Support, Production) and external vendors.
- Follow Vehant’s IT security policies, confidentiality requirements, and access control procedures.
- Support IT activities during site deployments, audits, and customer visits when required.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT / Computer Science / Electronics / Related Field.
- 2–4 years of experience in IT Infrastructure / System Support roles.
Hands-on experience with:
Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS) and Windows OS
Networking fundamentals (IP addressing, VLANs, DNS, DHCP)
Basic firewall and VPN concepts
- Experience in troubleshooting hardware, OS, network, and application issues.
- Good documentation and communication skills.
- Exposure to embedded systems environments or lab setups.
- Basic knowledge of virtualization (KVM / VirtualBox).
- Awareness of IT security practices.
- Willingness to travel to sites, if required.
- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
- Respect for confidentiality and security practices.
- Willingness to work in controlled and disciplined environments.
