Roles and Responsibilities:
- Fabric and Material Sourcing: Identifying, evaluating, and selecting reliable suppliers for fabrics (cotton, linen, wool blends, etc.), trims (buttons, zippers, linings), and accessories.
- Supplier Management and Negotiation: Building vendor relationships, conducting negotiations for best prices, payment terms, and quality standards to ensure competitive, high-value procurement.
- Quality Control and Compliance: Inspecting incoming materials against specifications, managing approvals for lab dips (color checks), and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Inventory and Budget Management: Maintaining optimal stock levels to balance production needs with cost control, and tracking expenditures to meet financial targets.
- Sampling and Development: Coordinating with design teams to procure sample yardage and new quality fabrics based on seasonal trends.
- Order Management and Follow-up: Preparing purchase orders (POs), tracking shipments, managing logistics, and ensuring on-time delivery from suppliers to production lines.
- Market Intelligence: Attending trade shows and analyzing market trends for new fabric qualities, innovative finishes, and price fluctuations.
Specific Duties for Gents Remade/Tailoring Focus:
- Quality Control of Suiting/Shirting: Ensuring strict quality control of fabrics, focusing on drape, feel, durability, and finishing.
- Supplier Relations for Specialty Items: Sourcing unique or high-end materials specifically for high-end tailoring.
- Fast-Paced Sourcing: Managing short lead times and managing fast-track orders, especially for fashion-sensitive items.
Key Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of fabrics (weaving, texture, composition).
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Analytical skills to assess supplier performance and financial reports.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
