Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop HVAC systems, including layout, ductwork, and equipment selection.
2. Conduct site visits to assess existing systems and identify improvement opportunities.
3. Create detailed designs, models, and simulations using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
4. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure integrated building design.
5. Perform load calculations, energy analysis, and system sizing.
6. Select and specify HVAC equipment, materials, and controls.
7. Develop and review construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
8. Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., ASHRAE, LEED).
9. Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during construction and commissioning.
10. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or related field.
2. Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain.
3. 3+ years of experience in HVAC design engineering.
4. Proficiency in CAD software, building information modeling (BIM), and HVAC analysis tools.
5. Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.
6. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have:
2. Experience with energy modeling software (e.g., EnergyPlus, eQUEST).
3. Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) and controls.
