Job description:
Role : Telecom Engineer (UBR)
Location : Hyderabad, Visakhnapatnam
Requirement
- Bachelor’s Degree/Dipoloma in Telecommunications, Networking, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience supporting WAN, broadband, or enterprise-grade IP networks.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise routers, WAN/SD-WAN solutions, and broadband delivery models.
- Strong understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), IPSec, QoS, and link redundancy.
- Experience with network troubleshooting tools (ping, traceroute, Wireshark, SNMP monitoring).
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications: Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Juniper JNCIA, Fortinet NSE (optional).
- Familiarity with WAN platform, CRM and provisioning portals.
- Scripting skills (Python/Shell) for automation and log parsing.
- Experience with enterprise customer support and SLA management.
Main Responsibilities :
- Deploy, configure, and support WAN routers (Cisco/Juniper/Fortinet) for enterprise broadband links.
- Manage and troubleshoot customer connectivity over broadband/MPLS using dual WAN, VPN tunnels, and failover mechanisms.
- Perform proactive monitoring and diagnostics of UBR/iWAN infrastructure to ensure SLA compliance.
- Coordinate with field engineers for on-site troubleshooting, link testing, and router replacements.
- Support customer onboarding, configuration validation, and provisioning.
- Analyze network logs, monitor performance KPIs, and raise flags for packet loss, latency, or jitter.
- Interface with NOC, provisioning teams, and enterprise support to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain configuration backups, update firmware, and apply router security patches
