Role Description
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Purchase Trainee to join our Procurement team. This role is ideal for freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience who are eager to build a career in procurement and supply chain management within the manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing materials, components, and services as per project requirements.
- Generate and follow up on purchase orders with vendors.
- Coordinate with suppliers for quotations, deliveries, and documentation.
- Maintain procurement records and update ERP systems.
- Support vendor identification, evaluation, and development activities.
- Track material delivery schedules and ensure timely availability.
- Assist in comparing quotations and preparing cost analysis reports.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as Production, Stores, Design, and Accounts.
- Support import/export documentation and procurement-related activities.
Required Qualification & Skills
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
- 0–1 year of experience in Procurement, Purchase, or Supply Chain (Freshers may apply).
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and ERP systems.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
- Willingness to learn procurement processes and vendor management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
