Job Summary
- Position: Production Officer / Senior Officer
- Department: API Production / Manufacturing
- Reports To: Production Executive / Shift Manager

Core Roles and Responsibilities Shop Floor Operations & Process Monitoring
- Charge raw materials, solvents, and catalysts into reactors as specified in the approved Batch Manufacturing Record (BMR).
- Operate plant equipment including Glass-Lined Reactors (GLR), Stainless Steel Reactors (SSR), centrifuges, industrial dryers (VTD/RCVD), and distillation columns.
- Monitor critical process parameters such as temperature, pressure, vacuum, pH, and agitation speed.
- Draw in-process samples and coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) laboratory for timely analysis and batch progression.
Compliance & Documentation
- Fill out Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and Batch Production Records (BPR) online and in real-time.
- Maintain accurate equipment logbooks, cleaning checklists, and calibration records.
- Uphold strict compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Identify and report any process deviations, out-of-specification (OOS) results, or equipment breakdowns immediately to the shift in-charge.
Equipment Upkeep & Line Clearance
- Perform equipment cleaning and area sanitization according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Verify and secure Line Clearance from Quality Assurance (QA) before starting new product batches.
- Ensure all equipment and pipelines are properly labeled with their current processing or cleaning status.
- Material & Manpower Supervision
- Allocate daily tasks to plant operators and contract workers to optimize shift productivity.
- Coordinate with the warehouse to issue raw materials and manage chemical inventory accurately.
- Conduct detailed shift handovers to incoming team members to ensure process continuity and safety.
Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Compliance
- Enforce the strict use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all personnel on the production floor.
- Follow safe chemical handling protocols to minimize exposure risks and prevent hazardous spillages.
- Comply with waste segregation guidelines and safely transfer effluents to designated treatment areas.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications Education & Experience
- Education: B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry (Organic/Analytical) OR B.Pharmacy / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering.
- Experience: 1 to 5 years of experience in API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) or Bulk Drug manufacturing.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Thorough understanding of unit operations like crystallization, filtration, distillation, and drying.
- Sound knowledge of cGMP standards, data integrity requirements, and USFDA/regulatory audit protocols.
- Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced chemical plant environment and handle physical operational tasks.
- Flexibility to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts.
Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
