The Hostel Warden supervises residential students, maintains discipline, manages facility, and provides pastoral care. This role serves as the primary liaison between residents, parents, and institution administration.
Administration & Operations
- Manage room allotments, check-ins, and check-outs.
- Maintain accurate registers of residents and visitors.
- Supervise housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance staff.
- Coordinate with the canteen/cafeteria for timely meals.
- Inventory and manage hostel property and assets.
Safety & Security
- Enforce curfew hours and roll-call procedures.
- Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate doctor visits.
- Conduct regular room inspections for unauthorized items.
- Implement fire safety and emergency evacuation protocols.
Student Welfare & Discipline
- Counsel students facing academic, personal, or emotional stress.
- Resolve conflicts, disputes, and bullying incidents.
- Enforce hostel rules, regulations, and anti-ragging policies.
- Report serious disciplinary breaches to higher administration.
- Organize recreational, cultural, and community activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in managing residential facilities, hostels, or guest houses.
- Age:- between 20 to 45 years.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and mediation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- High emotional intelligence, empathy, and patience.
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office, emails, hostel management software).
- Ability to handle crisis situations calmly.
Working Conditions
- This is a live-in position requiring 24/7 availability for emergencies.
- Shifts may include weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
